Take it along on a picnic or have a glass on your patio as the sun settles down. The fresh and light Sauvignon Blanc is just the antidote to a hot summer’s day. Its herby aromas transport you to a cool garden with fresh cut grass. These aromatic notes are enhanced by the sharply varying temperatures of night and day in the Nasik Valley of India.
The cool and light straw-gold colour of the Sauvignon Blanc makes it an inviting drink when the mercury rises.
As you bring your glass closer, you catch a whiff of fresh green bell peppers and gooseberries. Take a deeper whiff and you catch the subtler nuances of pineapple and white peach.
The very first sip refreshes you with its crisp lightness and dryness. The tinge of citrus comes as a pleasant surprise, making you tingle with its delicate sour flavour. As it sails down, it leaves a smooth finish.
Our advice – go green. Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with dishes, which have parsley, rosemary, basil, cilantro or mint. You could also have it with steamed fish and white meats.
Serve it chilled at 10-12ºC. Available in 750 and 375 ml bottles.
