Basic White Wine Sangria
When there’s an impromptu party, you have to make do with what’s available readily. But that doesn’t mean you let the time crunch cramp your style. A few basic yet elegant recipes can save the day (and your party). And that’s why we’ve got a very basic recipe in this week’s episode of Monday Mixology. We’re sharing with you our essential go-to Sangria recipe. It’s incredibly easy and will be an instant hit with your guests. We know, ‘coz served it at a recent wine fest, Fete du Vin, at UB City, Bangalore. And boy, did our guests love it!
You’ll need:
2 cups of apples, pears and oranges sliced into pieces
2 x 750 ml bottles of Big Banyan Sauvignon Blanc (you can also use Chenin Blanc if you like it better)
1/2 cup of kiwi pieces
1 cup of vodka
Sprite for topping
How to make it:
– In a large pitcher, add in the apples, pears and oranges.
– Top it up with the wine.
– Gently toss in the kiwi pieces.
– Add vodka.
– Give it a good stir. Refrigerate overnight (or at least for 5-6 hrs).
– Top it with Sprite just before serving.
This recipe makes 10 cups of Sangria.
