Big banyan
This rosé wine is sheer poetry in a bottle. The charming blush of the wine inspired us to name it ‘Rosa Rossa’, which means pink rose in Italian. To create this wine, we chose Sangiovese grapes from vineyards in the cooler climes of India. Take a sip, and allow your senses to be serenaded. The Winemaker Notes
Varietal Details
The Deccan Plateau in India offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of Sangiovese. The varietal thrives in the region’s warm, dry climate and high-altitude, well-draining soils. Our Sangiovese grapes are procured from the Akluj region in Maharashtra.
Maceration Control
The light blush hue of the Big Banyan Rosa Rossa is achieved through short skin contact of approximately 48 - 60 hours.
Fermentation Control
The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at a temperature <15 degrees Celsius. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months
